The Learners Academy (English tuition) year 1 - GCSE
The Learners Academy provides quality English tuition in a group as well as in a one to one setting according to the national curriculum.
We specialise in the English language and focus on providing a friendly and productive environment conducive to learning. Our fun learning atmosphere and small class sizes are an ideal place for children to develop and enhance their vocabulary and creative writing skills.
Students are guided on improving their comprehension and are encouraged to acquire a confident and proficient writing style. Progress is measured on a monthly basis and exam practice given regularly so that the students are well prepared for every key stage. We work closely with all students and create individual learning plans to ensure successful results. Most of our students, therefore, do brilliantly and achieve 8s and 9s.
GCSE students are given a sound knowledge of all the relevant papers. The anthology of poetry, novels, and media are taught thoroughly and exam questions are discussed meticulously in order for the students to achieve an optimum grade. Consistent homework is set to reinforce class-work and promote exam technique.
Reading Club
Your children are going to have a magical and exceptionally wonderful reading experience.
They will learn to appreciate and enjoy reading and will also learn:
– Comprehension skills through discussion and analysis
– accurate use of grammatical syntax and sentence construction when writing
– Creative writing through the understanding of how plots are developed and the importance of building character sketches and setting and its contribution to the plot
– confidence building through articulated tonal expression
– breathing and it’s importance in speaking
As a Master NLP coach I will also give your children tools and techniques on how to be in a peak state when they are studying so that they can access all the concentration and focus that their minds need. This will not only empower their work it will also help create excellent results in anything that they do
